The Way in a Manger
Both our middle and high school students will come together for our final meeting of the semester to celebrate the birth of our Savior! We will have a blast worshipping our King, eating snacks, and spending time with with our friends.
Candlelight Christmas Eve Service
Celebrate Christmas with Countryside at our Candlelight Christmas Eve Service on Wednesday, December 24. Family activities begin at 5:00 PM and include ornament-making, cookies, hot chocolate, and family photos, followed by our one-hour Christmas Eve worship service at 6:00 PM.
Kids Pajama and Movie Day!
Pajama & Movie Day in Kid’s Classes – Get Cozy on December 28!
Roll out of bed and head straight to church—because Pajama & Movie Day is happening on Sunday, December 28 at 10:00 AM! Kids can wear their favorite PJs as we curl up for a fun movie, tasty snacks, and silly games.

Have your student(s) join us for our annual "All Nighter!" We will be having so much fun staying up all night with our friends, playing games, and eating so many snacks! We will start the night off with an evening swim at the Derby Rec Center, so make sure your student has swim wear, and a change of clothes. We will spend the rest of the evening at the church. We encourage that each student brings a snack to share. There is a registration below that we need filled out so we have an idea for food numbers, and needed vehicles for transport.

SuperStart!
CIY SuperStart! — Preteen Conference in Tulsa
Our 4th and 5th graders are headed to CIY SuperStart!, a high-energy preteen conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 30–31. This overnight event is designed just for preteens—helping them grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in their everyday lives.
Preteen ministry is such an important season of growth! Kids at this age are asking big questions about faith and identity, and SuperStart provides an environment where they can explore those questions with caring leaders and peers who encourage them.
The cost is $115 per student, plus money for two meals and any merchandise. A $25 deposit is due with registration to hold your spot. Space is limited, so register early!

We are so excited to go back to Encounter Cove for our CIY MIX! This year's theme for CIY is "Kingdom Worker." Where students are going to dive deep into the book of Ephesians and what it means to use all that God has given them to advance His Kingdom.

NBTween Christmas Party
NBTween Christmas Party!
Our preteen group, NBTween, is celebrating Christmas with a fun party on Sunday, December 14, from 11:30 AM–1:00 PM in the Youth Center! All 4th and 5th graders are invited to join us for pizza, games, and a festive gift exchange.
Please have your child bring a wrapped $5 gift to participate in the exchange.
Ladies Christmas Party

"The Averagers" Christmas Musical
Light Inspired Theater is gearing up for our second Christmas Musical, The Averagers, on Sunday, December 7! This musical features students in first through eighth grades, and is written by our Worship Pastor, Jon Carmichael.
The Averagers are a group of superheroes with not-so-super powers. But they’ll have to work together to stop Dr. Chaos from attempting to derail the true spirit of Christmas!

Family Sunday
On Sunday, November 30, kids ages 4 years through 5th grade will join their parents in the main service at 10:00 AM for a time of worship together as a family.
We believe that worshiping together is an important part of a child’s spiritual development.

✨ Children will have a special moment on stage with the pastor for a kids’ sermon.
Nursery and classes for birth through 3 years old will still be available.

The Way OCC Shoebox Packing Party
Have your middle and high school students join us for an awesome night of service! We will be helping the OCC team finish packing shoeboxes to be sent to children around the world. We will also load them into the trailer to be sent out. These shoeboxes will be filled with gifts, and most importantly, an opportunity for children to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Join us at Countryside for the fourth annual Whatever is True Women's Conference. This event will include worship, teaching, and an opportunity to get to know other Countryside ladies through fellowship and discussion. It is open to all ladies of high school age or older. Fall Church Workday

Mark your calendars for our church workday on Saturday, October 18! As much or as little time as you can give between 9:00 AM-Noon. This is a crucial part of our upkeep and beautifying of our church building and grounds—but the cool part is how much fun it is to work alongside other Countrysiders and get to know each other more! Tasks for all ages. Projects include flowerbed cleanup, trimming small trees and branches, and removing dead shrubs and bushes. Bring any pruners, loppers, leaf blowers, rakes, tarps, and work gloves.

Calling all 4th & 5th graders! Join us for NBTween this Sunday as we have fun, eat together, and serve others. This week we’ll be doing a special project—packing pencil bags for Operation Christmas Child.

Baby Dedication Celebration

The 7th annual #StandFirm Conference will be hosted by South Rock Christian Church (900 S Rock Rd, Derby). Join us on Saturday, October 4 (8:45am-2pm) for our annual Men’s StandFirm Conference, dedicated to renewal, connection, and encouragement.
This year’s speakers include: Scott Parks (Restoration Church), Brent Warkentin (Ridgepoint Church), Nick Pannone (South Rock Christian Church), and Aaron Wallace (Reliance Community Church).

Through This Valley
Through this Valley is an eight-week grief support program. This curriculum was created by NewSpring Church here in Wichita and has been generously made available to us for free. The program consists of eight sessions, each including high-quality video testimonies and teaching and times for sharing in small groups. Participants receive a workbook to help supplement the group sessions. This curriculum is biblically based, has a strong foundation in grief science, and features grief experts in the video. Who: This program is for anyone who has experienced grief of any kind.
