At The Way, we have a heart to work alongside Jesus, and this Spring Break, our students will have the opportunity to serve and see the Kingdom outside of Wichita. We will be partnering with one of our church plants, Revive Church, to serve different churches of minorities in the area, partner and do service projects with some of the local schools, and help with some projects around Revive Church as well. This will also be super educational for our students as they will have an opportunity to learn about different cultures in the area, and learn about different religions predominate in the area as well.

Easter is coming, but we are excited to kick off Easter weekend by reflecting together on a pivotal moment in the Easter story: Good Friday. Our Good Friday gathering will focus on the cross and death of Jesus, which helps us grasp the significance and triumph of Jesus walking out of the grave on Easter. During our Good Friday gathering, we will share a reflective time of hearing Scripture and singing songs. We encourage you to come and begin your celebration of Easter weekend.

We want to invite our church family to partner with the CCC Kids Ministry and our outreach team to help make an impact in Countryside’s surrounding community this Easter season! In addition to our already fun and amazing kids egg hunt, we are also going to be feeding everyone lunch, leading some fun games and activities, giving away neat prizes, and most importantly, sharing the good news of Jesus and the resurrection!

🔥 SPARK Retreat is Coming! 🔥
SPARK is an overnight spring retreat for 3rd–5th graders happening April 10–11 at Prairie View Christian Camp—and it’s going to be amazing!
Kids can expect 20+ hours of high-energy fun, great food, and meaningful moments of hearing from God through His creation, His Word, and His people. Our heart is to help preteens grow excited about Jesus while building friendships and memories they won’t forget.

Amazing Faith Women's Event at Ozark Christian College

Ozark Christian College, Joplin, MO | Overnight Trip | April 24-25
Join us for an overnight trip to Ozark Christian College for the 2026 Women's Event. The theme for this year's event is Amazing Faith. We will carpool from the church at 1:30 PM on Friday, April 24, to grab dinner on the way and arrive in time for the evening session. We will return to Wichita by 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 25. The cost is $85, including registration, travel, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and hotel (based on 4-person rooms; can upgrade for additional cost). SuperStart!
CIY SuperStart! — Preteen Conference in Tulsa
Our 4th and 5th graders are headed to CIY SuperStart!, a high-energy preteen conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 30–31. This overnight event is designed just for preteens—helping them grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in their everyday lives.
Preteen ministry is such an important season of growth! Kids at this age are asking big questions about faith and identity, and SuperStart provides an environment where they can explore those questions with caring leaders and peers who encourage them.
The cost is $115 per student, plus money for two meals and any merchandise. A $25 deposit is due with registration to hold your spot. Space is limited, so register early!

Have your student(s) join us for our annual "All Nighter!" We will be having so much fun staying up all night with our friends, playing games, and eating so many snacks! We will start the night off with an evening swim at the Derby Rec Center, so make sure your student has swim wear, and a change of clothes. We will spend the rest of the evening at the church. We encourage that each student brings a snack to share. There is a registration below that we need filled out so we have an idea for food numbers, and needed vehicles for transport.

Candlelight Christmas Eve Service
Celebrate Christmas with Countryside at our Candlelight Christmas Eve Service on Wednesday, December 24. Family activities begin at 5:00 PM and include ornament-making, cookies, hot chocolate, and family photos, followed by our one-hour Christmas Eve worship service at 6:00 PM.

Both our middle and high school students will come together for our final meeting of the semester to celebrate the birth of our Savior! We will have a blast worshipping our King, eating snacks, and spending time with with our friends.

"The Averagers" Christmas Musical
Light Inspired Theater is gearing up for our second Christmas Musical, The Averagers, on Sunday, December 7! This musical features students in first through eighth grades, and is written by our Worship Pastor, Jon Carmichael.
The Averagers are a group of superheroes with not-so-super powers. But they’ll have to work together to stop Dr. Chaos from attempting to derail the true spirit of Christmas!

Family Sunday
On Sunday, November 30, kids ages 4 years through 5th grade will join their parents in the main service at 10:00 AM for a time of worship together as a family.
We believe that worshiping together is an important part of a child’s spiritual development.

The Way OCC Shoebox Packing Party
Have your middle and high school students join us for an awesome night of service! We will be helping the OCC team finish packing shoeboxes to be sent to children around the world. We will also load them into the trailer to be sent out. These shoeboxes will be filled with gifts, and most importantly, an opportunity for children to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
