Through This Valley
Through this Valley is an eight-week grief support program. This curriculum was created by NewSpring Church here in Wichita and has been generously made available to us for free. The program consists of eight sessions, each including high-quality video testimonies and teaching and times for sharing in small groups. Participants receive a workbook to help supplement the group sessions. This curriculum is biblically based, has a strong foundation in grief science, and features grief experts in the video. Who: This program is for anyone who has experienced grief of any kind.

Next Steps is where you can discover what Countryside is all about. In a casual setting, you will learn more about what we believe, our vision, how we do ministry, meet staff, and discover how you can be connected and involved at Countryside. We will provide lunch and child care. Register online.
GetAway for Middle School
We are so excited to bring our middle school students back to Ozark Christian College for Get Away this year! This year's theme is "YHWH" talking about how God has made Himself Known to us. This is always an awesome event for our middle school students to be challenged and grow in their faith, and we can't wait! Cost is $30.

Global Gathering with Major and Patience Mereki

They will be sharing and having a brief Q&A following the worship service on Sunday, September 28. StandFirm Men's Conference

The 7th annual #StandFirm Conference will be hosted by South Rock Christian Church (900 S Rock Rd, Derby). Join us on Saturday, October 4 (8:45am-2pm) for our annual Men’s StandFirm Conference, dedicated to renewal, connection, and encouragement.
This year’s speakers include: Scott Parks (Restoration Church), Brent Warkentin (Ridgepoint Church), Nick Pannone (South Rock Christian Church), and Aaron Wallace (Reliance Community Church).
This conference is only $20 and includes breakfast and lunch. Registration is open now! Hope to see you there!

Baby Dedication Celebration
If you have a new baby, please join us for our Baby Dedication Celebration on Saturday, October 11 at 2:00 PM in the Youth Center. The event will include a welcome, worship, a short message, a prayer of dedication, and dessert. Please register by October 5.

Fall Church Workday
Fall Church Workday | Saturday, October 18 | 9:00AM
Mark your calendars for our church workday on Saturday, October 18! As much or as little time as you can give between 9:00 AM-Noon. This is a crucial part of our upkeep and beautifying of our church building and grounds—but the cool part is how much fun it is to work alongside other Countrysiders and get to know each other more! Tasks for all ages. Projects include flowerbed cleanup, trimming small trees and branches, and removing dead shrubs and bushes. Bring any pruners, loppers, leaf blowers, rakes, tarps, and work gloves.

"The Averagers" Christmas Musical
Light Inspired Theater is gearing up for our second Christmas Musical, The Averagers, on Sunday, December 7! This musical features students in first through eighth grades, and is written by our Worship Pastor, Jon Carmichael.
The Averagers are a group of superheroes with not-so-super powers. But they’ll have to work together to stop Dr. Chaos from attempting to derail the true spirit of Christmas!

The Way Lake Day
We are so pumped to have our first ever Lake Day for The Way! We will be spending Saturday, September 13 at El Dorado State Park having a blast with our students. We'll be playing and hanging out at Bluestem Beach there, and tubing across the lake. We will leave from the church at 9:00 AM that Saturday and should be back at the church around 4:30 PM. Sandwich supplies, chips, and bottled water will be provided for lunch. Please fill out the sign-up waiver for your student by September 7, so we can make sure to coordinate rides and have enough food.

Financial Peace University
If you’ve ever felt like you just can’t get in control of your money, you’re not alone. You’d be surprised how many people you know are struggling just like you. But it’s time for that struggle to end—starting when you take a Financial Peace University class.
Financial Peace University is nine sessions in which you’ll learn biblical and commonsense ways of handling money. Each session consists of high-quality videos and small group sharing times. The class is facilitated by a financial pro who can help answer your questions along the way of your journey to financial freedom. Each participant (or couple) receives a book as well as a one-year subscription to online financial tools.

Cost: $100 (one price for single participant or a married couple)

Rooted Kick-Off
Rooted is a ten-week small group experience designed to connect you to God, the church, and your purpose. Together, in a group of 10-15 people from all walks of life, you’ll explore the Bible, engage in prayer and serve experiences, share stories, and practice rhythms essential to a healthy spiritual life. These spiritual rhythms aren’t new or something the church recently created; they can be found in Acts 2, where the early church began. We will provide you with a trained facilitator to come alongside your group to help you get the most out of the experience.
Rooted is available twice a year, in the Fall and the Spring.
Sign-ups are open now for our Fall session of Rooted. The first session starts September 7, 2025.
The deadline to sign up is August 31.

"The Averagers" Christmas Musical First Meeting and Auditions

Our first meeting and auditions are Sunday, September 7 at 6:00 PM and rehearsals will be Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 PM. Please sign up online, or in the Lobby on Sunday, and indicate if your student would like to audition for a lead role, or be in the ensemble chorus/help with set design. This year everyone will get to participate in the musical performance and help with set design! :)

Stories of Hope
Ladies, join us for coffee and the opportunity to hear the incredible testimony of our own Ginny Cook, who, along with her husband, Ron, were called by God to be missionaries to Russia in 1992 when they were in their 50s. Ginny currently co-leads our Thursday morning women's Bible study. You don't want to miss this opportunity to hear an incredible part of her story. Sign up online or in the Lobby.

Family Sunday
Family Worship Sunday – August 31 at 10:00 AM
We are excited to come together for Family Worship Sunday! On this special Sunday, kids ages 4 years through 5th grade will join their families in the main service for a time of worship and learning together. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to see, hear, and experience worship alongside their parents and our whole church family.
Nursery through 3-year-old classes will still be open, so our littlest ones will be well cared for.

Equip Launch
First Church of the Nazarene (1400 E. Kellogg Dr.)
EQUIP-LAUNCH is a day conference put on by Campus Ministries. It is all about equipping HS & MS Student Leaders. They will talk about what is the gospel. Your students will learn how to share the gospel message through their Campus Bible Group. They will also be given tools to share their faith with their peers. They will enjoy connecting with other student leaders from across the Wichita area. If your student needs a ride, we will meet by the Youth Center and leave at 8:30 AM.

Launch Fest
We are so excited to partner with other churches across the Wichita area for Launch Fest this year. This an awesome opportunity for students to hang out and worship with brothers and sisters across our city. We will be having a blast with fun games and tournaments, and we will also have an opportunity for students to pray over all of the schools in the Wichita area. Your student is more than welcome to meet us at Reliance Church. However, if your student needs a ride, we will meet by the Youth Center and leave the church at 4:30 PM.

Ladies Bunco Night
Join us for a fun game night in the Coffee Shop, open to all ladies ages 10+! If you’ve never played Bunco, it is an easy dice game that’s fast-moving and a fun way to meet new people. Invite a friend or two and join us! Bring a snack to share. Park on the south side of the building and enter through the middle doors.

Student Simply Hygiene Service Project

The kids at VBS have been collecting supplies to donate to Simply Hygiene this week, and our student ministry will have an opportunity to serve there on Tuesday, July 29. Simply Hygiene is an organization dedicated to making sure that everybody has access to essential hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, detergent to help keep themselves clean and healthy. We will have the opportunity to help them sort inventory. They ask that your student wears closed toe shoes while they serve.
We will meet at the Youth Center at 9AM if your student needs a ride, or they can meet us at 9:50 at Simply Hygiene. We will get done serving at 11:30, and be back the church around noon.

Dinners on the Deck
The idea behind Dinners on the Deck is simple: form new and deeper friendships with other women at church. Sharing a meal is a natural and fun way to do that. Join the Women's Ministry as we gather at individuals' homes and in the community July 22-26 to share a meal and enjoy a relaxed summer evening together. Sign-ups are in the Lobby and designated by night of the week and area of town so you can find what works best for you!

Ladies Event at Four Sisters Lavender Farm
This event is currently full.
Join us for an evening of enjoying nature and learning about lavender. We will have a short devotion, followed by the opportunity to cut your own bouquet of lavender, some refreshments, and a time to shop in their store. We will leave the church via carpool at 6:00 PM to head to the farm in Douglass and return after sunset.
