Bereans Class

(Adults of all Ages)
Since the church began over 2,000 years ago, the New Testament has been essential reading for believers. Filled with Christ’s timeless words and the apostles’ foundational truths, its wisdom continues to be relevant for everyday life. This study connects New Testament themes with their origins in the Old Testament. This class will go through various New Testament books and explore them in a deeper way. Teacher: Marvin Janssen. Meets in room A-110.

Gospel Revolution

(Adults of all Ages)
The Gospel Revolution discipleship experience leads people to understand how to let the Gospel work in their hearts the way religion never has or could. As we journey to a greater understanding of the Gospel, we will look at the different areas associated with a disciple’s life: giving, adopting, missionality, preaching, and witnessing. In this study you will find that when you understand the Gospel in a deeper way, passion, self-control, kindness, patience, and radical generosity are the natural results. Marriages will change. Participants will become more self-disciplined. They will be less selfish. Not by concentrating on these things, but as a result of being captivated by the love of Christ.  Teachers: Mike Willich, Mike Prewett and Sean Philip. Meets in room A-101.

Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit

(Bible study and video series,) Teachers: Ken Maine and Phil Smith. Meets in the chapel.

Heaven, Part 2

(Women’s Study)
If you’ve always thought of Heaven as a realm of disembodied spirits, clouds, and eternal harp strumming, you’re in for a wonderful surprise! Our understanding of heaven is often limited to a few half-forgotten Sunday school lessons and the insubstantial images provided by popular movies and television. God has put eternity in our hearts. In this two-quarter study, we will use Randy Alcorn’s book, Heaven, and Scripture to gain a better understanding of our eternal home. In this study we will get a glimpse of the place we will spend all of eternity. We will develop a deeper understanding of our eternal destination and will find the courage to strive for heaven while we’re living on earth. Please join us for this exciting and enlightening study. Teachers: Leanna Rierson and Effie Conway, Room A-117.
